Moto opens his eyes wide to get a better view of his surroundings when the room lights turn off for the night.

First time trying to implant two electrodes. Saw nothing on the recordings and thought I had messed up the surgery.  I went to let off steam with a quick bike ride to Falmouth,  came back, re-soldered the crab - and: Yeah, baby! Beautiful pyloric rhythm on both electrodes, and I can even monitor some gastric activity! Tomrrow's plan: Messing with temperature.

Meet Hippo

This is Hippo (as in "hungry, hungry"). He eats every single day. I think his schedule is different from the others since he's always wide awake and ready to snag that shrimp as soon as it touches the gravel. Hippo, however, is not enjoying my company. This is his "stop looking at me--don't you know I'm invisible" face.
